From Sketch to Fire: The Angel Warrior
Share
Some designs arrive loud. The Angel Warrior arrived tired — a kneeling figure, wings half-raised, sword planted in the dirt like she'd just finished something that cost her. The first pass is all ink: no color, no drama, just the bones of the pose and the weight of those wings.
The color pass is where she wakes up. Flame orange and bruised red roll in behind her, the wings pick up green-gold light, and the whole piece stops being a sketch of an angel and starts being a portrait of a survivor. That tension — beaten down, not beaten — is the whole point.
The finished artwork lives on the Angel Warrior beach towel, and she keeps company with the rest of the fighters in Warrior Within.
